About these terms
These terms cover your use of zincwolf.app, and buying and using ZincWolf apps. ZincWolf is run by Vivek Gowda S, an individual based in Bengaluru, India. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vivek Gowda S.
By using the site, or buying or using a ZincWolf app, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. If you have a question, email privacy@zincwolf.app, or write to #18/7, Mahadi Road, Magadi Road Police Quarters, Bangalore North, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560023, India.
Purchases
ZincWolf apps are sold through our reseller, Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record for your order; its terms for the sale apply too, and you’ll see them at checkout. ZincWolf Dock is $19.99, ZincWolf Island is $19.99, ZincWolf Widgets is $19.99, ZincWolf Tiles is $19.99, ZincWolf Unlock is $19.99, ZincWolf Clipboard is $19.99 and ZincWolf MenuBar is $19.99, each a one-time purchase. A license is for one Mac, the one you first activate it on, and includes every 2.x update of that app. Each app has a license of its own. Prices are in US dollars, with tax added at checkout where it applies. You can get a full refund within 14 days, as Refunds explains.

Refunds
- If a ZincWolf app you bought isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 14 days of buying it, no questions asked. Email support@zincwolf.app with the email address you bought with, or the order number on your receipt.
- Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record, processes the refund, back to the way you paid.
- When a purchase is refunded, or its payment is disputed or reversed, its license stops working on the Mac it was activated on.
- After 14 days, email us if something isn’t working and we’ll help. Nothing here takes away a right to cancel or to a refund that consumer law where you live gives you.
Your license
- When you buy a ZincWolf app, you get a personal license to use it on one Mac: the one you first activate it on. It stays with that Mac, including after you erase it or reinstall macOS. Another Mac needs a license of its own. If your Mac is repaired and the app no longer recognizes it, email support@zincwolf.app and we’ll move your license.
- Your license includes every 2.x update of the app. A new major version, such as 2.0, may be a new purchase, and the version you have keeps working.
- ZincWolf Dock, ZincWolf Island, ZincWolf Widgets, ZincWolf Tiles, ZincWolf Unlock, ZincWolf Clipboard and ZincWolf MenuBar each check their license with our server when they open and once a day. They keep working offline for up to 30 days at a time.
- Please don’t share, sell or publish your license key, or copy, resell or redistribute an app, or take it apart or get around its license check, except where the law gives you the right to.
- We may end a license that was refunded or disputed, or bought with a stolen card or otherwise by fraud.
Discount codes
- We sometimes share discount codes, for example in a post or an email. A code works at checkout for the app and the time it was shared for, and applies once per purchase.
- Codes can’t be exchanged for cash or combined with other codes. We may end a code that hasn’t been used yet.
Using ZincWolf Dock
- ZincWolf Dock replaces the Mac’s own Dock while it runs. It hides the Mac’s Dock by changing its settings, and puts them back as they were when you quit it.
- It runs on macOS 14 or later. Some features need permissions that macOS asks you for, such as Accessibility; you can turn them off any time in System Settings.
Using ZincWolf Island
- ZincWolf Island shows live activities and small apps in and around your Mac’s notch, or in a small pill at the top of a screen without one. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
- Some of its apps need permissions that macOS asks you for, such as your calendar for Up Next, Bluetooth for Devices or the camera for Mirror; you can turn them off any time in System Settings.
- Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a free, open library that people add to. We can’t promise that every song has them or that they’re right.
- The Terminal runs the commands you type on your Mac, as you, as any terminal does.
Using ZincWolf Widgets
- ZincWolf Widgets adds its widgets to macOS’s own widget gallery, for your desktop and Notification Center, and runs in the background to keep them up to date. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
- Some widgets need permissions that macOS asks you for, such as your calendar for Up Next, Full Disk Access for Screen Time or Automation for Now Playing; you can turn them off any time in System Settings.
- Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a free, open library that people add to. We can’t promise that every song has them or that they’re right.
- Commands runs the commands you set up on your Mac, as you, as any terminal does.
Using ZincWolf Tiles
- ZincWolf Tiles moves and sizes your windows when you ask it to, with a shortcut, its menu or a drag. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
- It needs macOS’s Accessibility permission to move windows; you can turn it off any time in System Settings. Some apps’ windows can’t be moved or resized, or only to some sizes.
- If you let it take macOS’s own edge tiling over, it puts your settings for it back when you quit it or turn its snap areas off.
Using ZincWolf Unlock
- ZincWolf Unlock unlocks your Mac with your face at the lock screen, by typing the Mac password you saved in it. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on a Mac with a camera, and works only at the lock screen of an account that’s already logged in: not at FileVault’s startup screen or the first login after a restart.
- It’s a convenience, not a security product, and it isn’t as strong as your password or Touch ID. A Mac’s camera sees in two dimensions: a video of you, or someone who looks a lot like you, might unlock your Mac with it. Use it only where that’s acceptable to you, add only your own face, and keep your password safe. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for anyone getting into your Mac through it.
- It needs macOS’s Camera and Accessibility permissions; you can turn them off any time in System Settings. When you change your Mac password, update it in ZincWolf Unlock too.
Using ZincWolf Clipboard
- ZincWolf Clipboard keeps a history of what you copy on your Mac and pastes it into the app you were in when you ask it to. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
- It skips copies that apps mark as private and spots common kinds of secrets, but it can’t recognise every password or private detail you copy. Pause it, exclude an app or forget a copy where that matters, and keep your Mac’s user account secure: anyone using it can open your history.
- It asks macOS to leave its windows out of screen sharing and recordings, which many screen capture tools, including most on macOS 15 and later, don’t respect: it doesn’t hide what’s on screen from them.
- It needs macOS’s Accessibility permission to paste, and on macOS 15.4 and later your permission to read what you copy in other apps; you can turn either off any time in System Settings.
Using ZincWolf MenuBar
- ZincWolf MenuBar shows figures about your Mac, modules for developers and your network, your calendar, clocks, timers and what’s playing, and everyday tools such as notes and to-dos, in its menu bar. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
- Its figures are what macOS and the tools on your Mac report, read at intervals and shown as they were read. They’re for information, not a guarantee: some depend on your Mac’s model and macOS version (temperatures, fans, the graphics processor and the battery’s details may be missing or approximate on some Macs), AI Usage’s figures are what each AI tool records on your Mac, not what its provider bills, and it doesn’t control your Mac’s fans or power. Git and Docker only read: it never changes a repository or a container.
- Its Calendar and Reminders modules need macOS’s permission for each, and Sun and Moon’s Current location needs Location Services; each is asked for only when you turn the module on or choose that setting, and you can turn it off any time in System Settings.
Launch offer: buy any two, get one free
- When you add three or more ZincWolf apps to one checkout on zincwolf.app, one app in every three is free: three apps cost the price of two, and six the price of four. One or two apps in a checkout are charged at their usual prices.
- A free app comes with a normal license, the same as a bought one: for one Mac, with no expiry, and with every 2.x update.
- Only the apps in that one checkout count. Apps bought in separate checkouts, or that you already own, don’t count toward it, and it can’t be combined with other discounts or offers.
- The offer runs for a limited time and may end at any time. Ending it doesn’t change a purchase already made.
- The order’s discount is shared equally between its apps, so each app is paid for at its share of the total. If part of such an order is refunded, each app refunded gets back what was paid for it after the discount; a full refund of the order returns everything paid.
ZincWolf Widgets launch offer
- The ZincWolf Widgets launch offer has ended. From the day ZincWolf Widgets went on sale until November 2, 2026, buying ZincWolf Dock and ZincWolf Island together, in one checkout, or, from October 30, 2026, ZincWolf Dock, ZincWolf Island and ZincWolf Tiles together, came with a ZincWolf Widgets license at no charge.
- A purchase made while it was on keeps its free license: a full ZincWolf Widgets license, for one Mac, with every 2.x update, emailed to the address it was bought with.
- If that purchase is refunded, or its payment is disputed or reversed, every license from it stops working: the apps bought and the free ZincWolf Widgets’.
Pre-registration
- Pre-registration is closed. It closed for ZincWolf Dock when it went on sale, and we aren’t taking sign-ups for other ZincWolf apps.
- For anyone who pre-registered before then: it was free, with no obligation to buy, and we couldn’t guarantee that an app would be released, or when, or with what features or price.
- If we open pre-registration again, these terms will say how it works before anyone can sign up.
The launch offer
- The launch offer has ended. It was for people who pre-registered for ZincWolf Dock: the first 500 to confirm their email address each earned a place, worth 50% off ZincWolf Dock’s price. It ended when pre-registration closed, and no new places are given.
- A place earned before then keeps what it promised: a personal discount code, emailed after launch and valid for at least 14 days from the day we send it. Codes can’t be transferred, exchanged for cash or combined with other offers.
- Anyone who unsubscribed or asked us to delete their pre-registration before we emailed their code gave up their place.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We provide the website and our apps as they are. We work to keep them accurate, available and working well, but we can’t promise they’ll always be error-free or online.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss caused by an app being delayed, changed or not released. For anything to do with an app you bought, our total liability is limited to what you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, or takes away your rights under consumer protection law.
